I was very excited to be selected as the second place winner of the Nescafe contest. To reach my winning concept, I spoke with my mother- who is a big fan and supporter of coffee! We began discussing convenience and on the go uses. We drank coffee... we thought about it. I mean really thought about it. How can it be delivered in a few form? I began to think about camping outdoors, and what type of product would benefit me when I didn't have a clean spoon! Together, my mom and I came up with a concept in which the coffee is packed into a cube and comes complete with a stirring stick. It's something I would actually use. eYeka has been a pivotal destination in my career. The prizes and clients cannot be matched anywhere online. We are given extraordinary opportunities with world famous clients. The prizes are the highest anywhere on the net. The clients are the biggest. No one can top eYeka. So glad I found them.

I am a creative (copywriter/art director) working in a top advertising agency in London. I like to think that I’m one of those people lucky enough to get to do what they love for a living, which in my case is coming up with ideas, doing lots of writing and seeing my ideas come to life. Whenever I have the time, I love checking eYeka for new briefs. It really is a great platform for creative people to put their magical minds to good use!

My experience of the contest was really smooth (no pun intended). I remember reading the brief and instantly (seriously, none intended at all) having the idea which I then worked up and submitted. Unfortunately, there is no standard formula for ideas. It’s all about exposing your senses to as many incredible things as possible so that when you get asked a question, the connections in your brain can come up with a more original and inspiring answer.

Whenever I work on an idea, I like to put myself in the shoes of the final customer, not the judges. I also like to work on several projects at once so I can work on one then leave it aside for a while whilst I work on others. If I still like an idea when I come back to it, I click upload. If not, it’s back to the drawing board!
